TURNING CONCEPT INTO REALITY

A vacation home was purchased near Speelyi Beach on Lake Cle Elum in the town of Ronald. The family had purchased a very nice cabin but soon realized that they needed more space. The new space was necessary to accommodate their growing family, many friends and the increasing numbers of motor toys. The solution was to build a new garage, complimented with a second-story apartment above for guests. They wanted the new garage apartment to match the existing house design.

A vacation home was purchased near Speelyi Beach on Lake Cle Elum in the town of Ronald. The family had purchased a very nice cabin but soon realized that they needed more space. The new space was necessary to accommodate their growing family, many friends and the increasing numbers of motor toys. The solution was to build a new garage, complimented with a second-story apartment above for guests. They wanted the new garage apartment to match the existing house design.

MORE THAN AN AVERAGE GARAGE. The first-floor garage was heated, which made an ideal space for them to store their UTV’s and snowmobiles. Front and rear overhead doors make coming and going on their motor toys a breeze. The garage included a storage area for their riding gear, a dressing area, and an enclosed laundry room.

The second level apartment provides a comfortable private area in which guests can enjoy extended stays. The apartment contains two bedrooms; a full bathroom and a living room with wood burning stove and a theater room for relaxing.

ATTENTION TO THE DETAILS. The theater room is heated with terraced seating and is perfect for the entire family to relax in after a fun, outdoor adventure. Clover and the client also decided together to use lumber from the property to create two accent walls, with fantastic results.

These Clients’ two young boys were very excited about the apartment. During construction, Clover’s team noticed that there was a large amount of unused attic space above the theater room. Utilizing the space as a “secret” playroom for the children was a happy suggestion for everyone!

FINISHING TOUCHES. In addition to the garage with the apartment, the Clients wanted the Clover team to build them a wood shed to store firewood in. The outdoor living space was designed and built by Clover Construction. Their design included a space for a picnic table for outdoor gatherings and fire pit landscaping.
